The battle for Gold Medals and personal bests ignites excitement and healthy competition in World Championship Athletics. Millimeters and split seconds will decide the winners. Athletes compete in 28 summer time disciplines, including hurdles, high diving, javelin and pole vault. Customize your character and develop your career as a professional athlete in career mode or challenge your friends in head-to-head competition. Gamers can grab their Wii Remote, hop on their Wii Balance Board, and try out 28 different Summer Olympics-style disciplines in World Championship Athletics. Players create and develop their own athlete, choose a country to represent, and then head off for competition in a variety of swimming, diving, cycling, shooting, and track & field events. Split-screen and hot seat multiplayer modes are available for up to four.
