DSF Fußball Manager 2001

Also know as: DSF Fussball Manager 2001 | DSF Football Manager 2001

In this tactical football management game, you become the manager of a team in the English, French or Belgian league, with different subdivisions, starting in 2001. Your job includes setting out strategies, planning training sessions, keeping an eye on your players and attracting new talent, taking care of finances, and of course making sure that you win your matches. You will be given specific goals, such as qualifying for the champion's league, or defending the club's reputation. Games do not only include league matches, but friendlies and cup matches as well. The actual games can be watched real-time in 3D, allowing for on-the-fly substitutions and tactical decisions, and a unique feature is you can both manage and play for a club, although there is no way to actually control players or actively participate. All players have different abilities and characteristics, which can be trained to create a well-balanced team. The French version portrays manager Guy Roux (famous of Auxerre), while the UK version has Alex Ferguson (Manchester United). On top of an all-new game engine, over 50 major changes and new features are being programmed into Alex Ferguson's Player Manager 2001 to enhance the menu system, speed up the pace and accessibility of in-game options and offer a totally realistic feel to that build up of tension to match day. Over 122 new player motion captures, new player models and dynamics and stadium environments will deliver true-to-life representations of player tactics as each game is played in real-time, while enhanced post-match statistics will give an at-a-glance guide to how well those tactics worked. An all-new set-piece designer, three different match modes, full kit design facility and vastly improved tactics designer will also guarantee PlayStation Managers will be fiddling and tweaking their joypads for months to come. "Player Manager gives a real insight into what management is all about," commented Ferguson. A new control system, making full use of the PlayStation controller, means all menus and game areas are easily accessible, while fully updated clubs and kits for season 2000-2001 and a wider allocation of foreign players available on the transfer market look set to make Alex Ferguson's Player Manager 2001 the most comprehensive football management sim on the market. Al these innovative features have been topped off with unique game content input and an in-game end of season evaluation as a Player Manager from Ferguson himself.
