Crash Bandicoot [Playstation the Best for Family]

Crash Bandicoot has exploded onto your PlayStation and is immediately seeking your help. The mean Dr. Neo Cortex has kidnapped your bandicoot girlfriend for scientific purposes in a grand plot to take over the world. The nerve of some people is just unbelievable! Needless to say, your mission is to rescue your main squeeze by passing through three different islands filled with over thirty levels and ultimately destroying the evil doctor. Gameplay is handled through linear 3D platforming, linear meaning each level has a distinctive path of completion with obstacles the player must overcome. Obstacles come in the way of various platforms, sandpits, and disappearing bridges. Some stages are played from a side-scrolling viewpoint while others are behind the bandicoot's back. Sensing that Crash might be smarter than the average bandicoot, Cortex has created a veritable army of critters to hamper the hero's progress. There are many different enemies found within each level including turtles, penguins, man-eating plants, etc. In addition to basic enemies, there is a variety of mean-tempered boss characters. Ripper Roo is a genetically altered kangaroo with blade-like toenails, Papu Papu uses his size to strike fear into the hearts of men, and Pinstripe is a Tommy Gun-toting gangster. Each level contains various pickups and hidden items found within crates/boxes. By collecting enough gems and keys, the player will be rewarded at the end of a level -- sometimes it's a bonus level, sometimes it's an extra life. Bonus rounds involve the bandicoot earning various fruit items and keys to unlock hidden levels. In order to unlock a bonus round, tokens must be collected throughout any given level. A Witch Doctor has also placed his mysterious masks throughout the islands to aid Crash in his quest. Please help Crash Bandicoot rescue his girlfriend from the evil clutches of Dr. Neo Cortex -- she and the world are counting on you!
